Megatroid Review

Does anyone remember classic games such as Metroid, or Megaman? Well imagine those two games together, and you will get a game titled Megatroid. And if you were missing the classic science fiction adventures, look no further because this game is an addicting one. Please read on fellow gamers.
The story follows a courageous girl named Hali. She is a member of GRiN (Galactic Rebel Network) , her mission is to free the galaxy from the evil grasp of the mighty machine empire. So along with her cute robot assistant S.P.A.K.K. ( Self  Propelled Aerial Kinematic Kitten), the two heroes set forth on an adventure.
When you first start the game you will for through a short tutorial on how to play the game. You can control Hali through the virtual control buttons or the jump and shoot buttons. Your health bar is situated at the upper-left side of the screen and the pause button in the corner. If you are not comfortable with your virtual keys. And when you do start playing the game, you'll notice that the game will remind you of playing Megaman & Metroid but great platformer, but Megatroid does have enhance animations and great 3D graphics.

There are lots of barrels that the main character tips over the edge at the front of the screen when moving through a level, and many decorative stage elements that pass by in the foreground and background. The lighting effects really highlight the high-energy sci-fi feel of the game, and complement the firefights players engage in.
Character portraits in the dialog screen aren't nearly as polished as the excellent 3D graphics throughout the game. Speaking of which, the few bits of dialog that prod along the story aren't particularly exciting or well-written, though you're probably less concerned with that as you are with blowing up some robots in a game like this.MEGATROID's 8-bit background music and sound effects bring the classic elements into a modern and techy Android game, it was enough to keep me pumped.
A nice feature of this game is that it randomly generates battle stations, so no two stages are alike. Once you have successfully retrieved the Warp Gate, you can begin going to different battle stations and battle droids to defeat the Empire Imperium. You will need to type the location that you want the Warp Gate to bring you to. The game does have a shop where you can buy items to use to equip your hero with new weapons, and armor. You can even buy armor to turn Hali into a unicorn. You can earn credits by completing missions and by blowing up bots, and if you want to earn "spacebucks" sorry to say but you will have to fork out money at the Google play store.

Megatroid does an amazing job of combining two great games, by adding new features to keep the idea of sci-fi side scroller game fresh. This game is free at the Google play store.
