Dead Trigger 2 is shooting its way up the App Store charts , and with good reason - it's not just a great game, it's a superb showcase for the potential of touchscreen gaming.
If there's one thing you can't have enough of in the game, it's cold hard cash so you can keep those weapons coming and the gizmos flying. We've picked out our best ways to make your cash go a little further, and come in a little quicker too. Follow these tips and you'll be swimming in money in no time.
It's not what you shoot, it's how you shoot it
Any time you kill a zombie, there's a pretty good chance it'll drop a handful of cash too. Make sure you move over this essential currency to hoover it up. But it's not just about raining hell down on the enemy in any way you fancy.
If you can pull off a clean headshot, you'll get bonus money for your impressive dexterity. This is very easy to do when you're up against small packs of enemies early on in the game. Get some distance between you and the shuffling fools, and take your time to get the aiming reticule right between their eyes. It might take more than one shot to finish them off, so just keep that aim straight and whittle their health down. This gets easier and faster with practice, and will always benefit you.
Don't just fight, fight harder
Before you start each mission, you'll be given the option to choose an Easy, Normal or Hard version. You should never need to set this lower than Normal, but once you've got the basics down, considering upping the difficulty to the next level.
While you'll be in for a tougher challenge than usual, you'll also make much more bonus cash for surviving the onslaught. Don't be afraid to spend a little cash on Painkillers before heading in either. Even if you have to spend $200 crafting them, they'll help you get the $350 bonus money for completing the level on Hard.
Stay safe, and get richer at the same time
Interacting with barricades has two distinct advantages - first of all, you'll receive bonus cash for fully repairing each one. Secondly, these will help keep the undead at bay, allowing you much more time to pick them off one by one, and get those all-important headshots that reward you with even more money.
There are other ways you can interact with the environment for bonus money too, so any time you see the option to interact with something, give it a go. Not only might you make your mission much easier, you might even make it more profitable too.
Time for one more kill?
Sometimes, a mission will require you to get to a certain objective within a specific time limit, and you won't necessarily have to kill every last zombie along the way. You can turn these time-based objectives to your advantage though.
Once you've spotted your objective on the screen, and can see you're close from the arrow marker, see how much time you have left and take out a few packs of zombies. Don't over-stretch yourself, but we often found we had at least a minute left on the clock - plenty of time to take down a dozen or so zombies and make some extra cash on the side. Every little bit helps.
Time is money
A final piece of advice. The game does a pretty good job - some would say, too good a job - of leading you to your next objective, but whenever an opportunity to explore does come up, take a side trip into each tucked away area.
Very often you'll find cash, not to mention bullets, lying around in these almost-hidden areas. Never be afraid to pop your head around a corner to check if anyone's left their cash just lying around, before you head blindly towards the next mission marker.
