Mobile and social game company Game Insight has announced the launch of one of its most popular titles, Airport City, on Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8. The game was previously released on iOS, Android and Facebook, and allows players to take over a growing city, anchored by an international airport.
The strategy city-building title sees players focusing on the construction of both the town and the airport, collecting passengers for flights, adding businesses, entertainment venues and accommodations for visiting guests, while also ensuring the town's current residences are satisfied (via the completion of quests and individual storylines).
Airport City has been played by more than 37 million players worldwide. Game Insight's existing catalog of titles for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8, including My Country, Rule the Kingdom and 2020: My Country, have been played by more than five million users, so Airport City is expected to perform just as well on this new platform.

"Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 are both platforms with growing audiences and great potential," said Alexander Vashchenko, President of Production at Game Insight. "We expect that Airport City, which is one of our top games, will find many new fans among users of the Microsoft ecosystem."
Game Insight has already had a busy 2014, releasing and/or revealing multiple games for iPad, Facebook and more. As examples, The Tribez & Castlez launched on iOS and Android in February, while the prehistoric city-builder Adventure Era released on iOS in March.
